Back Cove 26'
Spirited, beautiful and seaworthy, the Back Cove 26 is a joy to operate and a pleasure to own. She will cruise at 20 knots with her standard four cylinder diesel engine. Fuel economy is extraordinary throughout her speed range. At 20 knots and the Back Cove 26 can cruise for over 265 nautical miles at a cost almost 50% lower than most gasoline powered vessels. A standard bow thruster is provided to facilitate low speed maneuvers. Downward turning spray rails and wide chines increase stablilty, keeping the boat dry in a seaway, and assisting her hull onto the plane. Sight lines from the helm are excellent.
The style and grace of the Maine lobster boat has long been admired by boating enthusiasts throughout the world. No builder blends the classical looks with modern construction better than Back Cove Yachts. The interior of the 26 is bright and airy. Finished in hand-varnished American Cherry, her interior joinery is finely built. This space is warm, welcoming and gives a sense of luxury.
Back Cove 29'The Back Cove 29 is the most recent example of everything that makes a Down East lobster boat a work of art. She has a traditional spoon bow and her transom is gently sloped: a style that will turn heads in any harbor she enters. Below the surface she is modern and contemporary. A deep-vee hull with prop recess and standard trim tabs offers comfort and performance.
She comes standard with a single electronic 260 horsepower Yanmar, 6 cylinder diesel engine, with a cruising speed of 20 knots, topping out at 24 knots and the same high pressure common rail design as the electronic Cummins series. Many other single engine options are also available to suit your specific yachting needs on new boat orders. Click here to view our stock models.
The beauty shown here is hull #1 making her national debut at the Miami Boat Show in February 2007. She offers one of the most innovative layouts on the market, combining the maneuvarability of a smaller yacht with the convenient sleeping arrangment of larger motor yachts. With all her helm seating and galley-up, she is ideal for cruising with good company on deck. With her spacious stateroom and L-Settee with additional raised bunk, she can easily sleep four making her ideal for a family or company. Demand for this model is already high with over 60 boats sold. We are now accepting orders for 2009. And, at this time, we have a very limited number of stock boats available in 2008.
